GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Woods, has experienced an extraordinary surge in her music career following the release of her breakout hit “FNF (Let’s Go)” in April 2022.

Starting from scratch with almost no followers, she has since amassed a massive following, with nearly 6 million monthly listeners on Spotify, over 2.6 million followers on Instagram, more than 456,000 subscribers on YouTube, and 846.4 thousand followers on TikTok.

This exponential growth highlights her undeniable talent and appeal to a wide audience.Born on July 28, 1999, in Memphis, Tennessee, Gloria’s journey into music began at a young age.

Raised in a large family as the eighth out of 10 children on her mother’s side, she initially gravitated towards singing and was actively involved in her church choir.

However, a setback occurred when she lost her voice, prompting her to pivot to rap as her primary form of expression.Despite initially considering the stage name “Big Glo,” Gloria ultimately adopted the moniker “GloRilla,” a suggestion from her cousin.

Her musical aspirations gained traction with the release of her mixtape “Most Likely Up Next” in 2019 and her EP “P Status” in 2020, laying the foundation for her future success.

The turning point came with the release of “FNF (Let’s Go),” produced by Hitkidd, which quickly went viral, sparking the #FNFChallenge on TikTok and catapulting GloRilla into the spotlight.

This newfound fame led to collaborations with notable artists such as Latto and JT, as well as performances and nominations at prestigious events like the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards. In July 2022, GloRilla achieved another milestone in her career by signing with Yo Gotti’s record label, Collective Music Group, becoming the first female rapper on the roster.

This strategic partnership further amplified her visibility and credibility within the industry.Continuing to capitalize on her momentum, GloRilla released hit singles like “Tomorrow 2” featuring Cardi B and dropped her EP “Anyways, Life’s Great” in November 2022.

Collaborations with fellow Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo on the single “On Wat U On” and appearances on projects like Latto’s “FTCU” further solidified her position in the rap scene.Despite encountering challenges such as the tragic stampede incident at a concert in February 2023, GloRilla persevered and garnered recognition as a member of the 2023 XXL Freshmen Class in June of the same year.

With her distinctive sound, unwavering determination, and strategic collaborations, GloRilla continues to cement her status as a rising star in the music industry.
